Field Marketing Specialist Mass Spectrometry, Central Europe (m/f/d)

Our client is the developer and producer of a portfolio of easy-to-use, state-of-the-art mass spectrometry and flow-chemistry synthesis systems, enabling high performance, multi-element analysis for environmental, clinical, biomedical, food, agriculture and geological applications.
The position supports the company’s strong business growth in mass spectrometry, related to both an established as well as newly launched instrument portfolio.

You will be responsible for performing multiple prospecting functions resulting in lead generation, including establishing contacts in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe.

Being part of a dynamic, team-based company culture you will report to the Sales Director, Customer Care Central Europe. Effectiveness will be measured by the volume / quality of leads and new business found, and the level of satisfaction of both customers interacted with and team members collaborated with.

The role is home-office based in Germany, ideally located close to an airport. It requires travel (> 60%).

The position offers an unlimited working contract, with a competitive salary plus bonus system, car allowance, and functional home office equipment.


Main objectives:

  • Organize and attend exhibitions on conferences and trade shows.
  • Organize and conduct seminars and workshops for academic and industrial customers.
  • Use web-based search techniques to uncover new contacts in established application areas.
  • Work closely with the sales organization to promote the technology and to identify new market segments. Hand-over prospects and pre-qualified leads to the sales team for further follow-up activities.
  • Find, evaluate and perform promising strategies for product placement by advertisements and technical articles.
  • Help to develop effective prospecting strategies for Central Europe.



  • Education in chemistry or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry preferred.
  • Ideally existing background in marketing.
  • Excellent organizing, communication and presenting skills.
  • Self-driven; willingness to create direct impact on further business growth.
  • Highly motivated, positively minded and creative person, ready to do what it takes to help the team.
  • Obligatory: Native German speaker, business-fluent in English language
